summer/travel plans

I am taking three classes this summer, all of which end on August 18th. On the 19th I fly into Shanghai, arrive there the 20th. 21st I fly to Lhasa for a week, then back to Shanghai until the 15th when I fly back to Seattle. Then I have a few days to find some school year housing before fall quarter starts. And "chinese junk" refers to the style of sailboat and not neccessarily tsotchke. Anyway I miss you all and I wish someone would arrange a gathering for us. Perhaps if no one else steps up I will try for something next week. Oh and one of my new housemates is Filipino, I definetley had a conversation in Tagalog with her nanay and tatay the other day. And by conversation I mean an introduction and a kumusta kayo. But they were pleased at my efforts. Anyway enjoy the stiffling heat outside and let me know how you all are doing. I am out around 2-3 each day of the week. Flowers on the Ave has great sandwiches for $4.95, we should go get one someday.
